Tis the season to be merry ... and time for the store registers to ring!!
We are not Christians, but somehow have adopted the tradition of gift giving and sharing... I think its in the spirit of giving and sharing, as well as the joy in shopping! Especially when its not for yourself... feels like you can be forgiven for spending the money. Of course there is the inherent challenge in finding the PERFECT gift for your loved ones... thank goodness it comes round only once a year though!
Of course, Orchard Road is a major hassle and mess of human traffic... good luck to those who left the shopping to the last minute!
We are having dinner on the 24th December... Pa, Ma, Chai ( and hopefully Han Ting) as well as Geok and MunHon. At the moment the plan is for popiah and roast chicken, but we shall see what happens in the end!
