Shopping for baby Madison

I thought this was a topic worthy of mention.. one day I hope she will read this and realize how much parents truly love and adore their children... not to mention the excitement and anxiety they bring on so early!

So it goes... you get pregnant, spend 1st trimester either suffering from all day sickness ( severity variable)/ spotting (not me) , and moodiness (severe) ... all the while most choose not to TELL because of the EXTREME FEAR of miscarriage... so there is NO shopping and you feel TERRIBLE...

Then the scans go by, everything settles, and then you start to surf the web ... bingo! EVERYONE is shopping... from cots to strollers to rompers(onesies) to breast pumps.. endless lists... and you feel lost...

So I check out the shops.. ok.. surely it can't be that hard to look for cots or strollers...how wrong could I be!

In the end, I gather that the main deciding factor, like most things in life, is the $$ Dough... mega $$ buys you Rolls Royce of prams like Stokke, Peg Perago or even gold plated Maclaurens (S$18,000), Stokke cribs (S$1800) and Ferrari car seats that last you all of 12 months!

Clothing for the precious bub? From baby Armani to Carters.. take your pick... of course the baby Burberry's always looks SOOOO CUTE... especially for the GIRLS... boys clothes generally SUCK.

And then the 'rest' : nursing gear, nappy gear, rocking machines, things to dangle, special change thingys, wardrobe, hangers the list is endless... when all the baby really does is eat, sleep and poo.. I don't think she really cares what she sits in.. does she?

So.. at the moment, Chris and I have the 'shop and see' down pat, we've got ?enough clothes from US, I think WE ( not Madison) really like the Quinny Speedi Jogger( S700), although its like 11.5kg, is HUGE but COOL, as well as the more compact Quinny.. (can we buy 2??) Although... online stores in Oz show the Schwinn Jogger is AUD400... so...

And Cribs? well... I like the Stokke one... but that's all of $1800...

Maybe Santa will buy it for us?
