BABYMOON Part 3 : San Francisco

Day 2 in SF:

We wake up and go to Fisherman's wharf for breakfast... but alas! Not much was open! So we end up like locals, at the STARBUCKS cafe for hot chocolate and sandwiches... Melvin and Daniel were off to church somewhere out in the suburbs so they took the car... It was a glorious sunny SF morning...

Next up... the world's most crooked street: Lombard street.. oh before I forget... we did end up having Chowder at Boudins for lunch... in a sourdough bread bowl on the waterfront cafe near the seagulls... lots of other people having Dungenees crab too.. Chris had the chili in a bread bowl... chunkful of beans and mince...

Back onto Chinatown for the busiest day of shopping... fresh fruit, Chinese veg and groceries...and the most delectable char siew, dripping with honey and oil, fresh from the butcher... YUM. We passed elderly Chinese folk doing martial arts, qigong and chatting in the parks... just like in the movies!

By the time we finally caught up with Melvin again it was time for dinner... at the famous CHEESECAKE factory... in downtown Macy's building... it was PACKED. And the portions: GIGANTNORMOUS!! check out the chocolate cake... we had beef ribs, Caesar salad, pasta and calamari rings...

Day 3 in SF:

The next morning, Chris and I headed out to Alcatraz prison, while Melvin and Daniel went out for shopping..We take the ferry onto the island, where there is a complimentary audio tour as well as some live tours( which are pretty good, on ESCAPES)...the ferry leaves every 30 minutes so you basically take your time on the island itself and return whenever you wish.

Finally we return back at 1130H...supposed to meet the guys at the hotel at 12... but guess what !! THEY WERE LATE!!! SO... then the MAD rush to fill the rental car with petrol, navigate our way to the airport, drop the 2 guys off and then return the damned car ( the rental places are NOT AT the airport), LUG our luggage back to the airport, check in and COLLAPSE... all while 20+ weeks PREGGY!! Thank goodness for STRONG abs!!

We said GOODBYE to Melvin and Daniel, they were off to Singapore (WORK) , Chris and I were off to PART 4: Las Vegas!!!

Must add though... Melvin and Daniel did make a good 'couple'.... !!!!
