HOW WE HOOKED UP
OUR WEDDING
My goodness... its seems like eons ago now... those early innocent days ...
The PROPOSAL:
I don't know how Chris planned it, but it was truly romantic ( at least by his standards!!) during the school days... message in a homebaked lamington, ring of sapphire in a white gold band and proposal at the Botanical Gardens in Melbourne...
The WEDDINGS:
Yes... 4 to be exact... well, 5 if you count the formal registry wedding as a separate event. Pa ( my daddy) had the fortune teller pick a lucky date 05.01.2001, we flew back to Singapore during our Summer break and did the deed! Mummy (Chris' mum) and Neil were in attendance, as were his grandparents who took the train ALL the way down from Kota Bahru and my aunties from Malaysia...
Then The official wedding dinners:November to December 2001
Singapore:
Hyatt Hotel. Saturday High Tea for Pa's friends and some of my old schoolmates...
Kuala Lumpur:
KLGCC. Dinner with all our relatives in attendance... we even had to DANCE a formal waltz which we had been PRACTISING for the past year!
Kota Bahru:
Dinner with Chris' grandparents' friends... and Karaoke to top it off...
Finally... the one we had been planning all year: Melbourne
Dinner at Werribee Zoo, with a non religious wedding ceremony... bridesmaids and grooms... karaoke(again) but with our friends... our end of year graduation dinner had to be postponed because of our wedding dinner!!!Grooms: Jeremy, Alex, Vishesh. My Bridesmaids: Cheryl, Janette and Selene.
HONEYMOON:
Splendid Bali... we stayed at the Four Seasons , Ubud... at a private villa, complete with a private plunge pool... I think after that ..... hotels are never the same again... highly recommended for ALL couples...
