Now it's chickenpox!
If it's not Hand Foot Mouth disease it's something else! I got an SMS from Madison's school teacher today informing me that 2 kids in her school were down with chickenpox.
Madison has had her first dose of the chickenpox vaccine, but for better efficacy she needs a booster dose. I've been putting it off but it must be ESP or something that I recently ordered the vaccine in, meaning to give it to her. So now I've got the kick in the butt to DO IT.
Which leads me on to Annika. I suppose she should get a dose of it too so when she goes for her MMR in October she can get her booster dose then. Sigh. Should I do the injection? Or ask the grandfather/daddy to do it? IF they are even home to get it done. I've got the Prevnar 13 vaccine in the fridge for Annika too, but I think I'll give it to her AFTER the baby photo shoot and TOGETHER with the varilix when it arrives. I don't think many mothers are THIS ALL-IN-ONE. doctor cum driver cum disciplinarian cum everything else. (it's handy though.. otherwise I'd have to take her to a paediatrician to get it done!)
The 2 girls are getting to be a real handful! I think it's the age that they're in... Annika wants to participate in Madison's activities already and she is frustrated that she cannot/gets pushed away etc and then of course expresses it by crying or whining. Madison, on the other hand intentionally bullies her sometimes by pushing and snatching from her, or excludes her from HER activities/room etc. What results is an endless bout of crying/squealing/tantrums ARGH. It's even worse when Elizabeth is in the picture! 3 kids 1 year apart each!! It's crazy. I can't imagine next year when there are 4 of them 1 year apart! It's madness. Add to that 2 sets of parents and 1 set of grandparents. All in the same house.
Another bee in my bonnet... my sis and BIL. I know that my parents will always try and make things easier for them... they practically GAVE them their first apartment ( helped out with ALOT of the mortgage), probably the same with their 2nd apartment and now they are ALREADY into their 3rd HOUSE. Now they are expecting their 2nd kid and they are getting my parent's car while they sell THEIR car ( and of course get to keep the $$). And they never go on holiday without my parents! ( Guess who sponsors the trip??) Why do they always get the easy way out of things? I know I shouldn't compare because I suppose I would help either of my kids if they needed it. But still...how come they are so comfortable taking the help?
My brother is also coming back for good!! So exciting. He's finished with medical school finally so will come back next year to work! I think my mum is esctatic. Oh.. and my parents are also going to renovate the Novena house, and of course my BIL and sis offer to have my parents stay over at their house. And guess who will be contributing to household expenditures?? AGAIN! Enough said.
THINK OF THE BIG PICTURE. I keep telling myself that.
